Servicing & Repair

We operate a dedicated Service Centre for Vixen equipment based at our Head Office in Luton, Bedfordshire. If you are experiencing a problem with your equipment please return it for repair to the address given below. Please make sure the equipment is carefully packed for shipping and the parcel marked Service Dept.

On receipt of the instrument an inspection will be carried out and a decision taken on whether the fault is chargeable or to be carried out under the terms of the warranty assigned to that product. Vixen products purchased after 1st September 2009 in the UK are covered by a 2 year parts and labour warranty.

Chargeable Repairs
Upon examination an assessment of the costs will be carried out and a Quotation for repair posted to you. Authorisation to carry out the repairs can be made by post, telephone, fax, or email and must include payment in full.

All prices listed include VAT at the current rate. Cheques, P.O's should be made payable to Opticron.

Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit and Switch welcomed. Credit & debit card payments should be accompanied with name, address, card number, expiry date, issue number where appropriate plus the last 3 numbers on the signature strip printed on reverse side of card.

If you choose to decline the repair, the instrument will be returned on payment of appropriate postage charges.

Guarantee Repairs
If the repair is to be carried out under the terms of the guarantee assigned to that individual product then the average turnaround time is 3 weeks from receipt assuming we have the parts in stock to facilitate repair. For warranty repairs that require spare parts from Japan or the return of the instrument to Japan turnaround times will be longer.

Please note we do not reimburse the cost of returning items even if covered by warranty.
